Dr Esraa Sulaivany

Dr Sulaivany graduated from the University of Salahaddin, Iraq in 1992 and worked as a trainee in obstetrics and gynaecology prior to moving to the UK in 1997. She completed her acute medical training and took up the position of Senior Specialty Doctor at St Rocco’s Hospice in 2005 and attained the Diploma in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University in 2009. She is in the process of submitting her CESR application and since, has been acting up as a Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

Her professional interest is in teaching and she is the convener for the 4th year medical students from Liverpool University for their palliative care rotation in Warrington. Dr Sulaivany is currently the Warrington Specialist Palliative Care Education Group lead and represents Warrington ICN on the Merseyside & Cheshire Cancer Network Education Group. She has led on the organisation and delivery of Specialist Palliative Care education for GPs in Warrington.

She is currently co-Chair of the APM’s SAS Committee and her role includes supporting fellow SAS doctors through the CESR process.
